All About The Blouse

I have a feeling this Fall is going to be all about the blouse.  Off the shoulder, lace, bell sleeves, ruffle, tie front...we are going to see them all.  There's nothing like having a perfect go-to blouse, in our closet, to pair with jeans or black pants, for a special event or a night out.  I especially love the ones that are showcased below.  Oh how I wish I had them all!

Peacock Blue For Fall

I really love peacock blue.   It is one of the new colors for fall.  From home decor, to fashion pieces and accessories, peacock blue will be appearing everywhere.  I am thinking of a peacock blouse with dark jeans or black pants or a black blouse with peacock earrings or necklace.  I am still on the look out!!!  As for in the home, I would love to set a peacock and green table. Perhaps for Thanksgiving!!!  Stay tuned!!!!

Fur Shoes for Fall

As I have been flipping through fashion magazines for Fall and reading Fall fashion blog posts, the one trend that keeps showing up is fur embellished shoes.  I love the fur slides.  The Puma ones have been sold out all summer but I also love the clogs and slipper look in bright velvet colors.  They definitely keep you thinking out of the box with your fall footwear.   Fur Shoes for Fall

Shout Out To Target

I have to give a huge shout out to Target.  Last Saturday, my sister and her boys and I were shopping there for some odds and ends.  Mostly Legos for the boys.  I have not been to Target in a long while.  Amazon Prime and Stop and Shop Pea Pod take over my shopping duties.  However, my nephews were looking for Star Wars legos so off we went.  After about an hour of looking around, we went to check out.  The boys were happy with their lego and a Star Wars walkie talkie.   But when they saw the snack bar they had to have a hot dog.  My sister ordered for them, they sat waiting at one of the tables and I moved my cart away to make more room and was waiting for them by the exit. BIG MISTAKE.  We quickly realized that someone had picked up the boys' bag of $50 worth of toys while they were waiting. Of course, everyone was crazed looking around for the toys.  Luckily the manager, Paul, came to our rescue.  He took our receipt number did some research and credited my sister for her purchases that went missing!!!  Kudos to Target for caring for their customers.   So then I started thinking..there is really more than what meets the eye at Target.  It is a great store for fashionable yet not so pricey items.  I started looking around with a new eye AND you will not believe what I found.....look at these blouses.  They are totally the Calypso St Barth look without the hefty price tag.  Since Calypso is one of my fav stores, I keep up with their look and readers, it is surely here. Check it out!!!  You will be amazed.  What great pieces for Indian Summer with dark or light jeans!!!!!  Happy Shopping!!!

Hillary Can You Hear Me

This is probably the first and last time I will ever post something on this political campaign but I think it has to be said.  Please don't hate, I respect Hillary Clinton for the message she is sending to the women and youth of this country.  HOWEVER, please please Hillary, if you can hear me lets get this party started.  I think her choice of outfits for the DNC were pretty poor.  For some of the most important nights of her career I thought she would want to hit it out of the park.  She certainly has the $$$.  So what the problem?  Even Milania dialed up Net A Porter, where you can get anything on their site delivered to you within 2 hours for $25.  This really happens, I've done it myself!!!!  I know, I know, there are so many more issues at hand here than the fashions of the candidates but that's what I do and I feel like maybe I can help a sister out.  Hillary, if you can hear me, here are some suggestions, remember, "Dress shabbily and they remember the dress, dress impeccably and they remember the woman" - Coco Chanel!!  Bon Weekend!!!
